 This is a 1970 amp which has been modded by Simon Laws who is Matt Scofield's amp tech. He converted it to blackface spec. and put in a larger output transformer like you find in Super reverb and |Bassman amps.
 Also has a pair of Philips 7581A output valves and can switch between 4 to 8 ohms. It has much more headroom now than before and tighter deeper bass. I also had a smaller head cabinet made for it as the original is over-sized.image

    These sound so much better than the blackface versions, especially with the Valve rectifier as opposed to the older SS one in BF mode. Too much for me but looks better in the smaller cab!
